Does the Bible reference dinosaurs?

Our faith could be too small if we require rational explanations for everything. When accepting God, there are aspects of His Being beyond our comprehension.

Job of the Bible had to contend with uncertainty, and his anguished “Why?” resonates across centuries.

There’s more we don’t know than what we do. For example, let’s talk about dinosaurs. They aren’t mentioned by that term in the Bible, but there are references to huge creatures in the book of Job, which dates to about 2,000 B.C.

“Look at Behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox,” God said to Job. “What strength it has in its loins, what power in the muscles of its belly.”

God added, “Its tail sways like a cedar and its limbs are like rods of iron,” (Job 40:15-18 NIV).

Scientists studying fossils document impressive beasts that dwarf modern elephants and rhinos.

Maybe instead of doubting, we can let mysteries unfold as invitations to discover more about our magnificent God. He embraces galaxies and speaks throughout centuries.

Today’s Bible verse:
“Do you have an arm like God’s, and can your voice thunder like his?” (Job 40:9 NIV).
