This might look like an ordinary sunflower, but it’s not.
First, no person planted it. The seed must have been dropped by a bird or squirrel in the median. The plant’s will to live is strong because it flourishes in February.
It grows in an area where drought has taken a toll.
It grows despite a killing freeze that wiped out most other plants.
It perseveres and blossoms.
We can too.
Today’s Bible verse:
“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded,” (Hebrews 10:35).
