Student art displays good guidance for life

What advice guides you? One of my favorite sayings comes from my dad: “Can’t never could.” In other words, we won’t achieve anything if we don’t have an optimistic mindset and try.

My students read about Socrates this week. We discussed how asking questions can be just as valuable as determining a specific answer.

Life isn’t always tidy, like a direct addition problem of two plus two equals four. Sometimes, we have to inquire about the Why? before devoting lots of energy to the How?.

The picture displays students’ art of wise sayings. We keep it by the classroom door to remind us of smart ways to perceive a day.
