My friend Linda savors a moment of shell hunting in Tarpon Springs

I tend to cling to where I am, reluctant to experience change. How about you?

Those able to embrace uncertainty have my admiration.

In the last year, I’ve moved to a new city, traveled unfamiliar routes via GPS (for which I’m very grateful), and begun friendships from an initial “Hello.”

Most recently, I’ve started a new job. The position builds on everything I’ve done before, yet challenges me to do more and be more than I ever have. In awful moments of feeling overwhelmed, I wonder if I’ve made a mistake leaving the familiar and tackling the unknown.

Do you do that too?

My strategy for handling stress is to take a moment and remember how God has brought me through many difficulties. I recall how His plan is for my good and that He will guide me on straight paths.

You too can take comfort knowing He is present and will see us through.

Though I say goodbye to summer, I anticipate a future rich with discovery.

Today’s Bible Verse:

“Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you.” Genesis 26:3 NIV
